He was a powerhouse of a horse of impressive size and stature and acquired legendary status during his racing career.He was a son of great Australian stallion Heroic. Perhaps another great champion of the 70's Manikato, the second equine millionaire after Kingston Town could be compared with him in terms if size and build although Manikato's range of performance did not extend as far as Ajax's.Would have to be in the top ten Australian horses of the 20th Century.
