2nd Gran Premio Carlos Pelegrini
Died of colic after two seasons at stud at Haras Chapadmalal, but still ranked 3rd on the Argentine general sire list in 1924 and 1925.
Known as the "Man o' War of South America" (though Argentine racing fans would probably have thought of Man o' War as the "Botafogo of North America!"). His lone defeat, like Man o' War's, was considered a wild fluke, and his other races were all won in smashing style; following his defeat by Grey Fox in the 1918 GP Carlos Pellegrini, he easily defeated his erstwhile conqueror in a match race. He is still considered one of the best horses ever seen in South America. Strangely, like Man o' War and the English champion Hurry On, both of whom were roughly his contemporaries, he was a big chestnut with plenty of substance.
