He was imported to Maryland in 1761 or 1762 by Dr. Thomas Hamilton, racing at Annapolis in 1763, defeated by Galloway's Selim, and Upper Marlborough on 10 April 1764, beaten in a 4m match by Driver, and subsequently standing at Hamilton's Mount Calvert Manor in Prince George's County, Maryland. He later covered in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, before returning to Maryland in 1774
He enjoyed a fair measure of success as a broodmare stallion, including as sire of Primrose, the 4th dam of Lavinia, high class winner in 1803 and 1804 and 5th dam of Industry, winner of Jockey Club Purses in 1829;
and of Thistle, the grandam of Cincinnatus, the sire of the grandam of American Boy Jr., sire of Silver Cup, the maternal line of which has persisted to the present day, producing a few decent horses along the way, notably the gelding Naked Greed (1991 Dr. Fager Stakes, Affirmed Stakes, In Reality Stakes)
