Seized by the British government in 1914 under the terms of the Trading With the Enemy Amendment. Sold at a Tattersalls sale at Knightsbridge in December, 1916 to Major Waldorf Astor for 330 guineas. Died in the early part of 1918 at Astor's Cliveden Stud when lengthy attempts to save her from a broken leg failed. While in England, she produced a William the Third colt in 1915 named Battalador, who at the same sale, was sold to the Marquis de San Miguel and sent to Spain.
