Re: epic fail

I had that happen too Tappiano. Years ago I added the 3 geldings my mare had before I got her. I added them all in just to have them all deleted shortly after. I never even bothered adding them back in. Oddly enough though the filly she had for me was never deleted.

Re: Who's got runners?

My boy has been back in training a little over a month now. Here's hoping he's done throwing us monkey wrenches and can get down to running.

Re: just wow

Wow is right! Impressive riding and high praise to the horse for not throwing a fit!

Had a saddle slip once while working a horse in an arena, horse was very put off to say the least, went bucking around and around the arena.

Race 10 at Parx

Well that was a first....race 10 at Parx the mare, Thats my lady (2) reared up in the gate, tossed her rider out the back then while on two legs turned herself completely around and jumped over the back gate! Someone was making herself VERY clear she had no interest in racing today. Lol

Re: i'm not really impressed with the data

I've had that issue a few times. One of my mares was from Ireland and I had the hardest time gathering racing stats on some of her relations.

Re: i'm not really impressed with the data

If a horse runs in another country (besides Canada) equineline will show they are a runner/winner whatever it is but it won't show up on equibase because I think it only shows north American earnings.

Re: Vekoma

Saw him in person Saturday, he looked like a gangly teenager but it was quite impressive how he pulled away once he focused. He looks like he has a really big stride or at least he can sure get those front legs way up there while he's goofing off in a G1.

Re: Gate moved during the start of a race.

Yikes that would be scary! Maybe they were doing a favor for a horse that didn't like the gate in their face? Lol I guess in this case the starter was doing what he thought would stress the horses the least. It just caught me off guard I was expecting them to at least give them all a few extra momen...

Gate moved during the start of a race.

I was watching tvg earlier. At Sunland park race 6 they had all the horses in the gate and then the gate started moving! Only maybe a foot or so but it was enough for the commentator to say something about it. They started the race as soon as it stoped moving. My question is, wouldn't that mess with...

Re: Broodmare quality based on placement of offspring

From a catalog perspective it would say "x wins/starts, etc" not where they earned their money so that wouldn't matter. You want to keep yourself in the best company and your horse in the worst. Since many first time starters are not claimed it's a good opportunity to see what you have. N...
