There is a post on the Chronicle Forums asking for help in placing a Spanish Steps-Secretariat Lass yearling filly with an eye problem. Post is quoted as saying they have placed "all but 10 of the Martin Stables horses."

So maybe there was some truth to the original rumor?

That's their only physical contact with another horse (outside of bumping during a workout or race.)
