Yes, tore a suspensory in September. Was announced that he was out for the year, but I guess they thought he wouldn't come back from it.

He was originally with Juddmonte but ran for a long time under Bobby Frankel's ownership and silks. Before he got claimed away from him, I assume.

Re: Fusillade

Stallion Directory lists a horse named Fusillade entering stud at Pin Oak Lane Farm in PA in 2010 for a fee of $1500. Fusillade is a six year old horse by AP Indy out of Ring of Fire by Nureyev. The dam is an unraced full sister to Spinning World. Apparently, he only raced four times, had two wins,...

Re: Azeri to Japan!!!!

??? Her oldest foal is only 2. Can we not write off a broodmare before her very first foal even walks into a starting gate? IMO, I think it is not so much a reflection on her, as on her damline. It seems that the US breeders are only spending big money on mares from proven families. Azeri is still ...

Re: Azeri to Japan!!!!

The reason I worry is that I was responsible for chasing down Chapel of Dreams (Northern Dancer ex. Terlingua) who was sold by Overbrook some time ago & then disappeared off the radar after a brief stay at her new owners. I contacted Chase Clay @ Three Chimneys who had the same bad feeling abou...

McPeek's webpage has a race record report from 5/09: http://www.mcpeekracing.com/uploads/stallions_pdf/stratostar.racer.pdf Funny, I thought he had won a stakes earlier in his career, but apparently not. He was one of my favorite runners though, and I always liked following him. Might be a bit long-...

Re: pleasantly perfect

I think he had a in...

HOLY COW! two more!

Since the one horse was injured in colliding with the other, it's hardly fair to call this 'two more'. It was one incident.

Re: copule of questions about the 3YO's in socal

1. why isn't anyone talking about Grazen? He just won the affirmed in 1:41 and change and I have not seen one mention of him anywhere. 2. How likely do you think it is baffert actually puts POtN on the turf this summer... you know... where he belongs? After the derby, the more you see empire makers...

Any word on the horses?

Both horses were euthanized.
