Obviously, as she is unraced. But she is still a TB, and many TBs find homes doing other things, and the chances of finding more information are better there than on this board which is not always frequented by sporting people. It was just a suggestion.

Whatever happened to Gunnerside?

There is no name change listed with the JC and Equineline lists her as being unraced. If you are on Facebook, you may have better luck posting this query on the group OTTB Connect - there are more than 10k followers on that group and it is an invaluable resource when tracking down information.

I would pass on the stallion IMO. He couldn't do better than a pair of third place finishes in maiden company in 29 starts...

Lacing Pattern

I was at the Middleburg Training Center yesterday and saw this horse with an unusual lacing pattern on it's hindquarter. Unfortunately I did not get the horse's name, but thought I'd share the photos for those who may be interested. https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn2/969821_37300...

Regal Secret was no longer standing to outside mares when I inquired last year.

The Paulick Report states that Patchen Beauty passed in March. It was mentioned in the article on white thoroughbreds.

25K horses a year? That's very sad, I thought the numbers were said to have been going down a bit. The TB numbers have gone down in the last couple of years. People are quick to blame the TB industry for high population numbers, however, the AQHA reported 75,255 new horse registrations in 2012. As ...

I've been pretty lucky. I've been using the same farrier for about 10 years and I wouldn't trade him for the world. He charges $35 for trim and $70 for front shoes. Hay can be a bit of a problem - I'm lucky I have mine sourced at a fantastic rate below average pricing, but I've been dealing with the...

Champion Silks has always been popular. I had mine done by Horse Country Life in Warrenton, VA. Not sure if they still make them or not.. Just FYI - If you plan on racing in New York state, you need to register your silks with the Jockey Club - http://www.jockeyclub.com/silks.asp

FWIW, I have not sent them a horse, but I have a Webb Carroll graduate, and I hope that she is the exception to their program. I spent a very long time when I got her teaching her things she should have learned earlier during her time there... I prefer a smaller operation that gives more attention t...
