Unbridled -- Le Fabuleux and Buckpasser were added to infuse "bottom" into a speed line. Certainly worked!!

I'm sorry to hear that your youngster has a splint. It will probably will never bother the horse, but it is a killer on a sale yearling. Ask me how I know  We also had Xrays of it to show it wasn't a problem, but basically buyers looked at him, saw the splint, and said "Pass". We ended up break...

Depends on what type of horses you are fencing in, and how large the paddocks and pastures will be. For pastures for mares and foals, we wanted a 5 foot fence, so we used the 50" diamond mesh. It is set 1-2 inches above the ground, and we used 1" X 6" oak for the top board, and added a hot wire abou...

You might want to look at the wool flocked saddles, since they can be adjusted somewhat. I believe the County line has some options that can work for the horse rider fit combination you described, plus they have local reps that will come out and fit yor horse. Here is a link to their Website: http:/...

Another option might be to put your colt in the sale as a weanling, especially if he is an early foal. You save a year's expenses, and there are fewer from his crop to compete with at the sale. A lot of horses realize more as weanlings from the pinhookers than they do a year later. Just my opinion, ...

Since the mares have already sold, your best bet may be to get the buyer's name and address from the sales company, and send your stallion's information to them via mail. I've received post sale mailings before, and that was okay.

I would put Belong to Me quite a few rungs up the ladder for your mare, and best of all, he has a record of some success with the In Reality line. He also has Hail to Reason, so the Turn-to is there. Danzig has a lot of the old American strains (Fair Play, Domino) through his dam as did HTR, and Waq...

Best of luck with the new mare! I was going to suggest Tapit, but see she is already booked. Another interesting avenue would be bringing in Turn-to, which Waquoit loved. Sweetsouthernsaint would be interesting for her.

This mare's oldest foal is a 2 year old, and she has a 2008 model. She is from a very nice family, and is a half sister to 3 - 4 stakes winners. Her half brother by Press Card was not remotely correct, and was voted least likely to start of that year's 2 year olds by all of us "experts" at the break...

Nice catch, Hpkingjr! The database may not reflect it, but Two Punch has sired stakes horses with Grey Dawn linebreeding. The two that I am aware of are Bronze Abe, a stakes winner in excess $500,000 out of a daughter of Waquoit, and stakes placed Travelin Leroy, out of a Holy Bull mare. Travelin Le...

I don't think there has been much inbreeding to Grey Dawn with Two Punch, but he does have some stakes winners that were doubled to Grey Dawn II. These were out of Waquoit and Holy Bull mares. He has also crossed well on Great Above mares. Some linebreedings that have been tried and didn't appear to...

Yes. There is an old expression "knees breed true", meaning back at the knee and offset knees are dominant conformation flaws that are passed on with disgusting regularity. As others have already pointed out, there have been some wonderful racehorses that were back at the knee, but it is the...

Saw one of each at the FT Midlantic sale yesterday, and thought both were very nice. I particularly liked the With Distinction -- what a gorgeous colt. He was purchased by one of the biggest names in show horses, so I guess we can look for him to show on the line next summer.
