Splint on Yearling

How big of a deal is a high, cold splint on a prospective yearling purchase? If the horse moves sound and the splint is set would this be a deal breaker or effect the price of the yearling? Thanks in advance.

Not Sold vs. No Bid

I have a question for those with more than my (zero) sales experience. Specifically with the Fasig Tipton yearling sales, how can I tell the difference between: a) Not sold due to the consignor having the last bid b) Not sold due to not getting any bids Obviously I am talking about horses who's fina...

He is gorgeous! I can't help but click on every horse you list though, because they always look like great quality and well cared for animals.

You can't see her very well, but looks like her name is above the horse on the left in this ad:

New Filly

Here is our latest and one of only two for this year. She is by our stallion out of my favorite hard knocking mare by Manzotti. We have her big (half) sis in training and the trainer is raving about her so we intend to keep this little one if all goes as planned. She is 18 days old in this picture. ...

Here are a couple of pictures of Strikethecat. I literally caught her in the pasture and snapped these, sorry she isn't cleaned up any. I also measured her and she is 15hh 1/2". Bear in mind, her front legs are a mess. I can send close ups of her legs as well as a video of her moving sound to anyone...

Sort of a little different scenario...but we collected insurance on a Quarter Horse stallion, years ago, who became infertile. We were allowed to keep him and the insurance money, as long as we gelded him... so we did and he made an awesome roping horse and enjoyed trail riding until he did at the ...

SIXSAINT, I don't know what kind of idiot would ship a mare from Texas to Indiana to breed - even more the question, what sort of even more idiotic fool would suggest such a thing? I was wondering the same thing. Also interesting to suggest THE SAME STALLIONS to everyone who has posted here recentl...

She comes to my place tomorrow as a 3-in-1 package. I do love Early Flyer, that is something to consider. We are near Retama Park where the only stakes racing this year was on turf, but I wouldn't say that Texas is exactly full of turf racing in general. My thoughts with this mare are as follows: Hy...

Opinions on Saintly Charm

What does everyone think about the mare Saintly Charm (St. Jovite x Teasing Charm) as a breed to race broodmare? Primarily to race in Texas (that is if we still have racing in a few years :? ). http://www.pedigreequery.com/saintly+charm In my opinion she has no major conformation flaws. Her oldest f...
