Funnily enough, when I started galloping (this will tell you how many years ago ;) ) I was told NEVER get on a Halo or a Triumphant. That a Stonewalk would kill me out of sheer stupidity and a Triumphant because they can't think straight. But a Halo would do it out of sheer joy. Years later I think ...

A good buddy to go out with as a mentor, a different rider... sometimes personalities just don't mesh. A very timid horse with a rider who is quite assertive may feel overwhelmed, yet the same sort of combination will actually give confidence to another timid horse. I'd try a different rider, then t...

A.S. i am amazed you stand stallions in Ontario as you are so down on the industry here. We started bringing in Stallions because of the quality that was here and feel that aside from Peaks and Valleys and Milwaukee Brew I think we have the next best stallions in Ontario. I'm not down on the indust...

This is also an El Nino year, which modifies traditional weather patterns even more but I'm not exactly sure how.

Usually for the worse? :D

Can I ask for one more thing?

I'm busy looking for a foal (either unnamed or just don't KNOW the name yet) of a certain mare and stallion. I know the foal exists, has been born and is still alive, but either hasn't hit the track yet, or won't until next year. But. I don't know his NAME. Is there a way to enter in the mare's name...

What do you suggest? Personally, sounds like a good start. Keep it going with a GOOD galloper. Someone with some guts, balance, strength, common sense, whip arm (unfortunately) for those times when understanding just doesn't want to overcome coltishness... Get him down in the chute and do a bunch o...

Thanks lucy, that was perfect! Summerhorse, we weren't discussing sabino - it was the Dominant White genetics that got this going. Although there seems to be some confusion between people regarding whether there IS a difference or not, let alone the action of inheritence. Anyone hear if the test is ...

Drone was a grey. And to prove it all you have to do is find a grey foal by him out of a non grey mare. http://www.pedigreequery.com/allies+tune Actually, that would (if the grey wasn't actually "grey") prove just as much the dominant white theory. Just sayin'. Without a pic, we won't KNOW if she w...

I wish I could find another as well. He doesn't look *wet* to me either, and it was his distinct resemblence to Donna's filly that caught my eye. Along with his tail ;) The blue spots...well.. I don't quite think THOSE are genetic or natural, so I'll go with the lousy shot ;) :) The granddaughter th...
