Thoroughbred Podcast Recs

Anyone got any good ones; I tend to lean away from pure betting/handicapping/selection focus and like a bit more discussion, pedigree, memory lane stuff. Current favourites. https://www.johntapp.racing/tappys-podcast https://inthemoneypodcast.com/category/nick-luck-daily/ https://anchor.fm/tdnausnz ...

Re: Jockey Club Naming Consistency

Knowing Coolmore/ Tabor's naming conventions. The horse is probably named after Antonio Stradivari the person, rather than the company/instrument.

George Washington, Jann Vermeer, Horatio Nelson etc would lend credence to this no?

I think this boy will be the champion three year old in Japan in 2016. Geez he looked good when winning the Asi Hai Futurity.

Re: Hampton Court

I think it's difficult to make a conclusion based on the sample size. North Light is probably the best Danehill stallion to retire in NA racetrack performance wise, and he had next to no impact for the Danehill line, but he was a pretty poor sire all round. This guy is not priced to be a super sire,...

Hampton Court

I see this fella is coming stateside to Spendthrift.

Haven't seen him in the flesh without a jockey up but he seemed to have a fair bit of quality on the track and for those of you in the price bracket, there isn't a better sire of sires in Australia at present than Redoute's Choice. He is a freak.

I really enjoyed this when I read it yesterday. Not sure if they do it better, but they sure are refreshing a few international bloodlines by doing it differently.

I know this will raise hackles, but arguably the most important horse Shadwell ever raced. A phenomenal stallion that held his own in an era of shuttlers. I defy anyone to name a stallion, with the exception of Danehill, with figures to match in the same period.

They are photos of the same horse aren't they? No, they're two different horses, but the daughter looks so much like the dam it's amazing. Look at Desert Beauty's topline....the top of her butt is higher than her wither. Hellenic's withers are higher than her rump and really shark-fin pointy. Out o...

Denman to join his dad at Darley America

Bit more of a value option, this guy is off to a flyer with his first two year olds. Real Australian damline and doesn't fall far from the tree as far as looks go.
