They are straight up greedy that's why. The only redeaming factor in cloning past stallions is to bring back dying or extinct bloodlines. This is hardly the case here with Storm Cat or any other Northern Dancer stallion for that matter.

Love Conquers All was out of a decent stakes winning/producing mare which is why he wasn't gelded like most Mossman's at the start of their racing careers.
