Just a thought: Maybe a separate name or data file could be created to allow people to hypo-mate and keep the file open for educational purposes. Could have a code after the name or the word Hypo. It is actually educational to see other breeder's thought processes. Solves the problem of those frust...

TWEEBSTER: Breakdown 12/30/2012 at SANTA ANITA - POLL

TWEEBSTER, a 5 y/o gelding by Tapit, who was Graded Stakes Placed to /TWIRLING CANDY as 4 y/o, was dropped into $12.5 claimer yesterday, by his trainer, Bob Baffert and his owner, who people can look up. Considering the obvious known circumstances of this horse's soundness, his trainer and the rider...

Maybe Photofinish, you are refering to the supposed good dooiing from milkshakes is concerning, the owner and the trainer, but certainly not the horse. The horses are getting this kind of stuff, for enhacing their performance and for nothing else. No sir, that is not what I meant. Baking Soda, is a...

Re: Doug O'Neill's Troubled Record Front And Center

A Derby Win, but a Troubled Record for a Trainer Doug O'Neill's Kentucky Derby victory places him - and his troubled record - center stage at a time when thoroughbred racing faces calls for federal regulation. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/11/sports/trainer-of-kentucky-derby-winner-has-a-troubled-...

I am overloaded otherwise I would pick this boy up. Anyone have the room for him?

Just seeing this now. Do you have a name on this horse? The ad is gone.

Thx.

Santa Anita

I heard a while ago that races at Santa Anita were cancelled today. Is that true? There have been several breakdowns because of the inconsistent track, during training recently.

Santa Anita Surface

Has anyone had any recent bad experience with the main track/Santa Anita surface? Moved my horses there thinking it would be best and in 2 days, 3 horses have been taken off track in an ambulance. One day was a week ago, before we moved there and two were in one hour's time. Our rider (who hasn't ri...

Talked to a long time, class trainer yesterday and he said he hates the track. That they are watering the two inside lanes more than the rest of the track. Others have said the turf is a mess, which cannot be very safe. Perhaps all the uncertainty and talk of selling Del Mar caused the powers that b...

Del Mar Track This Year

I will go with an unequivocal no, turf is not a kinder surface on the horses joint. In addition to the points LB and Madelyn have made, you also have to consider that horses that prefer turf generally have a less concussive way of travelling, which reduces the impact stress on the joints but increa...

Really like him. Surprised Harris hasn't scooped him up. He seems to be collecting stallions these days, since Redattore went back to Brazil.

this trainer will have to work the horse at least one 5/8 in order to qualify to enter a race(if you re`in USA) . Wow!!! thats crazy, I guess they must really like me and let some of my horses start, without working that 5/8s "all" horses need in the USA to "qualify" them to race. Can't speak for r...
