Advice on beginner pinhooking

I am considering trying my hand at pinhooking and was wondering if weanlings are a good starting point or is there less risk in 1yo"s. I am just looking to get into it slowly and could use a mentor if someone felt like they would like to share their knowledge. If not any suggestions would be appreci...

How can I get a video of a race that my horse won >1yr ag

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to get a video of a race my horse won a little over 1 year ago. The video I had broke and it was the only record I had. The track does not keep old races around.

thanks

Need Info on Tie Forward Surgery

Hello All, My horse had a previous surgery (In January) to fix his swallowing of his soft pallat. He broke his maiden 2 months later but he is still making a noise and stoping some times. Sometimes it is during the race and sometimes right after it. Is anyone familiar with the new tie forward surger...

Anybody have advice on successful Pinhooking

I was wondering if anyone out there has had consistent success in pinhooking and at what age. (weanling to 1yo or 1yo to 2yo). Do you buy what the market is hot for or do you have other things that you look for that have worked. Obviously good conformation is a start. Just trying to get some pointer...

Bingo, you found it. Thanks LSB. It was in the Oct 23rd, 2004 issue. I had overlooked it on page 5784. Thank you very much to all for your help.

Adrienne, This may be precursor to the article but it is the last part that I was looking for. I thought I read somewhere where they actually followed up on the horses after 1 year to see how they did. I think Buzz Chase was one of them. For some reason I thought the article I was looking for was in...

Trying to locate a recent article

Recently there was an article that was written about a few top bloodstock agents and trainers who selected horses a few months back and were followed to see how the horses faired. Can anyone help me locate this article or an article similar to it. I think it was in the bloodhorse but can't remeber f...

Advice Needed-My 2yo Gelding is displacing his Soft Pallat

Need your advice. My 2yo Gelding is displacing his Soft Pallat. We started to notice it during training and we hoped he would grow out of it but he hasn't. He just ran his first 1 mile 70 yd race and at about 6f out the jockey really noticed it. He went from 2nd to 2nd last in a flash. Up until this...

Does anyone remember the issue date of the Bloodhorse in which they followed a few trainers and bloodstock agent's pick of horses over a year to see how they did?

Has Anyone left Corporate America to purse a Horse career?

Has anyone out there given up a corporate job that was extremely good to them to follow their passion for horses. I just feel like I am at that point in my life where I want to do something that I look forward to getting up in the morning for. I am turning 40 this month (yes it may be a mid life cri...
