Re: Tevez.

Thanks Geo, that was fun and he certainly enjoyed it. Loves the rail and firm turf if he can get it.

Re: Tevez.

Thanks guys, that certainly was a thriller. It's amazing how many times he has won as 2nd choice. A nice winter off in Florida certainly keeps him young at heart and he is getting plenty of respect at Woodbine now as a consistent old warrior.

Re: Tevez.

The old boy trained well enough after his florida vacation but had a rough trip in his first race back yesterday. He was beaten half a length for second but ended up 5th ,that's how it goes sometimes. The race should help him move up in fitness and we look forward to another try.

Re: Shades of Zenyatta

Thanks for those wonderful photos TJ, he is a lovely specimen and looks like a race or two more will bring him up to scratch. I wonder if a trip to Woodbine and the polytrack / tapeta that is now in place might be on the cards if he doesn't win bog on the dirt.? I know from personal experience that ...

Re: Tevez.

Tevvez went back in training in Ocala on thursday after a nice break at home. Ironically I bought his weanling half brother later that afternoon,in partnership with an old friend who breaks and educates runners and trains in the summer months.

Re: Tevez.

Thank you it was fun to watch as he got a nice trail inside when he needed it and got room to move outside when the time came, to add to the fun our lady member Mood Swings came down for the win picture. Tevvy will be off south for a well earned rest as soon as a ride is available.

Re: Tevez.

Thanks Diane, I try hard to rehome all my horses as best I can and often it turns out well ,they go to polo, eventing, trail riding ,jumping or just inhand classes or even as baby sitters for lonely old retirees but I have no idea what Tevvy will do. I just don't see him eventing though ,he just isn't...

Re: Tevez.

Hey Diane ,how are things? Actually he was never really going past the winner I think and losing momentum cost him at the top of the stretch but I have no complaints after all he is 9 but he looked very sharp in post parade. He loves cool weather but it is rather mild there right now however that sc...

Re: As You Like It

That's a shame, horses like that do well at Woodbine in April/May and then in Oct/Nov. I thought that he had some promise and would love to have seen you in a win photo. Maybe he will show up in the winter at the mid-lantic tracks..Do you have any others in the pipeline?

Re: Tevez.

Yes he was bothered at the start and shuffled to the rear , basically with nowhere to go and weaved his way through to grab 4th. We have been a bit lucky so we were due for a hiccup. Hopefully he can get another in before they close. They lose about 10 days because they are installing the Tapeta sur...

Re: Runhappy wins........trainer fired!

There's only one thing worse than a bad loser and that's a bad winner! I only feel for that poor horse the rest of them can burn. Runhappy will end up lame or breaking down completely. The jockey club should get involved because this fracas reflects badly on the whole sport and a State Vet should re...

Re: Tevez.

Ok we are in tomorrow in the last race at Woodbine, he likes the inside and with any luck he will run a place. I know he was lucky to win last out and maybe we used it all up that time but he is the morning line fav in what looks like a cavalry charge cutback to 5/8ths.
