Re: February covers!

Good luck with them! I’ve had one under lights and hopefully will send her to KY soon. She’s a tough one, very quiet with her heat cycles.

Quick update— I went to Lexington last week and saw stallions at three farms. I had tried to PM Madelyn and not sure that it worked so I got in touch with another agent that a friend had recommended. He got me 25% off the fee, a nice discount. Not sure if it’s because the stallion is in his second y...

Nashville locked, error

Nashville (2017? I think) is locked and his starts are incorrect. He has 6 starts, not 56.

Re: Dealing with big KY farms

Thanks, joltman. I was planning to contact Debbie once I narrow down my list of stallions.
I appreciated the advice (I think from Tappiano?) on another thread about converting those NG seasons to LF via insurance.

Dealing with big KY farms

I am a very small scale breeder and used to dealing with farms in the mid-Atlantic. I’m thinking of sending a mare to KY this year which would be a first for me. Any advice on talking with some of the big farms? In my area, stud fees are pretty flexible. I’m assuming much less so in KY. Thanks for a...

Re: How to find out what a TB you bred and sold was named?

I love the Equibase feature Dam’s Foal Search

If you leave the year blank, it will give you all of the foals in their system. Or, you can search by year.

Re: Musketier and Pay the Man colt, Hiho

Again, a late post, but Musketier was withdrawn from the sale.

He did not have any mares reported covered in 2020.

I hope they give him a nice retirement.

Keeneland digital sale

I realize that this post is a bit after the fact but I was surprised by what a bust the December digital sale was.
Wrong time? Wrong place?
