I like Tonalist but given the sealed track today, I think you need to look at who may move up in the slop, Viva Majorca perhaps, should the track not dry out. Kid Cruz keeps on flying late for pay checks and will have pace to run after. Very excited to see how this plays out.

Did I read correctly that most of his training pre Derby was at Los Alamitos prior to shipping to KY? How would you characterize that surface for those who know?

Airdrie Apache really should have been given the chance to race, at least in Texas. He was one of the best racing bred colored TBs out there. Naevus was one of the best sires Texas ever saw and the dam side didn't look too shabby for local running. I guess this is where the bias against color reall...
