I agree that "Bold Forbes" has to be in the conversation of great 20th Century Horses! I was fortunate to own a daughter of his, and she was the start of me getting into racing and breeding. Got to see him along with up close touching Secretariat, Sham, Affirmed, Slew, etc..

Looks like last week's question was a stumper (the answer was Omar Khayyam, the 1917 Derby winner). Who's up for this week's question? http://www.americanclassicpedigrees.com/hoofprints

I'll guess that the first one was in a year in which a Preakness winner did not participate.

The other ... 1987?

Hi Mahubah,
That was quite an appropriate question, considering there's a good possibility that rarity might play out again this year...fingers crossed:>). TJ

Glad you liked it, TJ. Joanna nailed that one; let's see who's on it this week! http://www.americanclassicpedigrees.com/hoofprints

Last week was apparently a stumper; the answer I was looking for was Flying Ebony, the 1925 Kentucky Derby winner. I'll be taking a break through the rest of the month; see you all in August!
