Zenyatta and Quality Road both lose Saturday

Postby oliverstoned » Thu Aug 05, 2010 5:07 pm

Just got out of my hot tub timemachine, Zenyatta just couldn't make it this time and Quality Road adds to the Graveyard of Champions history. Not gonna tell ya who wins so yous don't mess up my odds.

Your vision of the results is going to make you the most hated person in horseracing if you are right. Your name will be right above Frank Stronach's.

honestly, would not suprise me.

z has lost a step. just a step but a step nevertheless and she hates del mar.

quality road giving up 5 pounds to a legit BCC contender. this isn't congressional page he's going up against. blame is legit.

I wouldn't go as far as "She hates Del Mar"

As Robert Duvall's character said to Rooster Cogburn
"that's mighty big talk for a one-eyed fat man!"

Now you may not be one-eyed, fat or even a man, but it is still mighty big talk!!

If that's the case (and that's a big if), I suspect it has something to do with her giving around ten pounds (or more) to her rivals in previous races. In the Hirsch, she's only giving 2-4 pounds to each of them, so I suspect she may rediscover that lost step.

and if it isn't the bottle or the smoke I'm calling the mental ward to see if any spaces are available. hehehehehe
I think if Zenyatta were to lose now it might be the most horrendous racing day I have had. Quality Road is pure quality, while I don't think he is the uber horse Z is I think he will prove to be the best too. Actually if both do well today I would be more excited for a race including these two than Rachel v. Z.

Velasquez with a huge tactical error. He waited for Blame instead of asking QR for his life at the Quarter pole. Blame with huge momentum nosed him at the wire.

Thanks, Quality Road. The only time in my life I dared a $20 across the board, and ya let me down?
