DIRT

she's freaking indian blessing.. she's the best 3YO and certainly the best 3YO filly in socal.. she would do better to stay there.. but baffert I'm guessing is done dealing with that crap. and I don't blame him

The track is reopening on Feb 8, and any trainer that would run an Eclipse Award winner the next day on an untested surface needs to have his/her head examined. Baffert's making the right move.

call me Nostradamus because I called this at the beginning of the year.. the Santa Anita derby will be worse than last year. filled with horses who can't crack it in other stakes around the country.

I guess ive been out of whack lately but didnt they open the track today for racing at SA? I guess Baffert doesnt want to run her on that fast ass track which would make sense on to why hes shipping to FG

if Baffert was that worried would he have worked her 7/8ths over it today. I think he's trying to dodge Country Star or any other filly who can finish up a race quicker than 26 and change

AS,

1. we don't know if it was the regular or training track.

2. even if he did go over the regular track, working over a track is different than RACING.. see maimonides.. had all his works at del mar and showed up at saratoga

3. I've seen country star.... lol.. that's funny. In a race under a mile and 16th country star has no chance of catching her.. and throw in that lighting fast track.. uh.. no.

It was over the Synth. The filly is a good sprinter but IMO will never win a race going 2 turns again. I don't think Counrty Star is all she's been hyped to be, but if a Cal-bred Maiden winner can almost catch Indian Blessing while running green as hell through the lane I think Country Star or anyone else should have no preblem catching her.

Maimonides...I wonder if he'll run more times than Vindication.

LOL, sorry I had to laught I've now in my young life.. have heard it all

"will never race going 2 turns... AGAIN"

What? AGain? what's different? she's getting older, more mature, but she wont' be able to do it.. AGAIN.

MInd you she's not a male.. most filly races are a mile and a 16th not a mile and an 8th. I think she's unbeatable at a mile and a 16th at least now.

look man i used to fell the same way as you about her.. but she turned me into a believer after watching that ass whopping she put on the BC Juve fillies. it was never close. go back and look at it.

As I understand, Santa Anita will shut down for a week or so until February 8th while the Pro Ride stuff is installed.

I wonder how Ragozin will differentiate between cushion without Pro Ride vs with Pro Ride. LOL!

I don't have to go back and look at it, I was there I remember, I cashed on that race. I don't think she will develop into a 2 turn filly, the late fillies are catching up to her now. She is a sprinter IMO. She could win going 2 turns again, maybe in a money allowance. But I don't think she's a graded quality 2 turn filly.

Many sprinters have won 2 turn races, that doesn't make them a 2 turn horse. I think that she will turn out to be a pretty nice sprinter, but I do not think she will continue to develop more than other fillies who look like they want to run on. Some horses peak earlier than others, IMO she will not be able to be as affective going 2 turns now that other fillies out there that were akward and learning the game 5 months ago have grown up.
