Princess Arabella is retired

Postby ElPrado » Thu Apr 19, 2012 11:51 am

according to an announcement on HRTV this morning. Soft tissue injury. And no matter what Louis says, it isn't because she has some stallion 70 years back in her pedigree.

She is really a breathtakingly fast horse. She should produce beautiful babies. :)

Fast horses get hurt, slow ones less...Speed kills.
The sport and industry survive not only because of the champions that are remembered forever but also because of the losers that are so easy to forget...

Blaming it on Baffert isn't realistic. She was a high priced 2 year old. They go crazy with the 2 year old sales horses. If a horse gets to a trainer already damaged, you can't blame it on him. The 2 year old sales have really messed up racing in America, with so many talented horse being ruined before they ever get to the trainer at the track.
