The Brothers Cozzy

Postby Denise » Fri Jun 05, 2009 5:44 pm

Brother Sy, race 9, PHA, Monday June 8th. 3:50pm
My Son Spider, race 8, DelPark, Monday June 8th. 4:25pm

Brothers in races just over a half hour apart, at venues just over an hour apart. What to do, what to do?
Split parenting at its best. :P
If they were an hour apart, I could have seen both at the rail, because I've done that. Watch out, left lane, I95, Wilmington to Bensalem.

Both on turf, and we've had at least 36 straight hours of rain, but the weekend holds sunny promise. We'll see.

Sy got stuffed 3 times in the pack, hammered on the rail, finishing 6th. Spider finished 5th which was very nice given he's been off a year.
Neither brother cared for the "cut" in the ground at both tracks. Philly was listed firm, but was very soft. DE was listed as yielding and indeed, was.
Next up: Sack of Rubies, the sister in between these two. Saturday, Philly, 5f on the turf. She's been away for a year and a half. :D

Better next time out for the guys, and good luck to Ruby in her race on Saturday.

I missed your heat, Mare. How'd Danica do?
We were extremely pleased with Charlotte's return after 18 mos. away.
She's never raced that short before, so her middle move was her late move.
Ground was very soft, but she needed this one and seemed very content afterward.
