What would YOU do???

Postby BenB » Thu Aug 13, 2009 12:17 pm

The trainer from my half filly, is asking where to race her next time out.

Either the 23 th of august. 7 furlongs, the track is within an our drive from his trainingsplace, and 3 hours from where I live, or
gooiing down south in heavy company, she should stay over for 2 nights
extra expenses 1k. Race is 1 september.
From where I live an 8 hours drive.

The purse in the last race also 7 furlongs, is 60% up btw.

Giving her some confindence I would choose for race nr 1 to be quite honest.

I lost a couple of fillies after such a long trip, they were completely over their form afterwards.

Hi Ben,
Anytime you have a long ship for a horse, it takes a lot out of them.
If you can find a spot that's the right distance and condition, and close, that would be the one I'd choose. It's not even the ship out to the race, but the waiting around, staying over in a strange place and the ship back after the race that really seems to drain them. With a whole string that ships off the farm to race, we're always taking that into consideration. Good luck with whatever you decide!

She,s entered in the first race, so only an hour away.

Her name is Victoria S, her ped is very sinister and awkward but she showed plenty of heart and courage last time out gooiing between horses and the rail.
No nothern dancer,no mr p, no ran. No duplications, no nothing.

For me a (hopefully)nice sunday at a german track, it is a very nice meet although I lost a filly three yrs ago at the same day same meet, because of serious bleeding.

She is something what I call, a little mean racemachine

You already know the answer BenB, let's hope you have some racing luck and she improves from the experience. Best wishes, Wilf.

She has become reluctant at the gates, not through an fault of her own.

So tomorrow we wil lsee how she fares it,s 7,5 furlongs instead of the 7.

She could get a place when the race unfolds normal
