First runner of the year!

Postby justinnich » Tue Feb 02, 2010 10:43 am

Finally getting 2010 started with our filly Amirahy in the 4th at Gulfstream on Thursday. DRF morning line has her at 15-1, which I think would be a pretty generous price considering she was in contention most of the way in a race with a runaway winner (Rose Catherine) in her only start. Don't know if she's due to win a race just yet, but she certainly fits with the group she's running against here. Here's hoping for a solid start to 2010!

Best of luck!!! So far my 2010 has been less than stellar on the track.

Sorry to hear that Strategic, but the year is young! Here's hoping it only gets better going forward

Solid 2nd, with a green run through the stretch that caused her to never change leads...probably would've won if she had! Oh well, good start to the year though :-)

Great start, 3 wide, hope you keep JL, and as I've said before, I think your trainer is awesome. Next start should find you in the winner's circle.

Amirahy's back again on Wednesday in the 5th at GP, and indeed we got Leparoux back. I think this spot may be tougher than the last but she's on the improve and certainly should figure in.

Here's hoping!

Alas, she basically missed the break and with the 1 post, that pretty much meant the end in a 5 furlong turf race. She then checked twice more. Oh well, hopefully she'll break her maiden next time!
