Victoria,s monday the fifth

Postby BenB » Sun Mar 28, 2010 12:14 am

Vic, wil get her first start on monday the fifth.
1 mile on the turf, at the very nice track from Koln (Ger).
The finish is uphill.
Race is open for horses comparable to their rated weights.

She need some luck settling in dead last from the start.

Hi Wilf,

Not so interesting in theory to my humble opinion, but she sure has a racing character.

There are 12 entered.

A bit of luck, as it is an rather big track with just one bend to go and a straight from more than 3 furlongs.

I will go to see her, it,s an drive from about 180 miles up and 180 miles back.

She always play op at the starting gates and therefore she gets the outside box.

BenB, a trip of 180 miles is like going from Beulah to Mountaineer but much more fun I reckon! You say that she is bad in the starting gate so you get an outside post ,unfortunately we don't have that luxury here. Erin's Isle ,thanks for the pedigree link as I found it very interesting with some great old names way back like Ragusa, Be Friendly and Sharpen Up.

Track and soft to heavy going will suit Victoria tomorrow - but now she bears some 7 kg more weight than in October. This is much in that competitive "middle-class" of racing.

Sorry, that I can't be there tomorrow - I enjoyed the day last autumn seeing her winning during fading daylight after a great ride of little Steffie Hofer. :D

Hi Parlo,

Sorry, you aren't there, I just wanted to say that Jan is rather optimistic about her chances, she is more relaxed than last year.

Now correct me if I am wrong but BenB is of the opinion that Owen Tudor is responsible for Influenza Strains. Best Wishes out there in Baden Baden Land.

Wilf,I wrote the wrong word.
It should be influence, I think.
Influenza is a disease.
And thank god, Baden Baden is an eight hours drive from here.
This is just about 3 hrs, Koln is on the outkirts from the river Rhein.
