Sizedoesnotmatter

Our latest purchase, a two year old Consolidator gelding, out of a Lemon Drop Kid mare, is having his first start for my partner and me at the Fort this afternoon. MSW, 6f. Wish us luck! We call him Si(gh). The partner's husband thinks we should call him 'Little Dick'. Ha, ha!

Please don't. Enough wars have already been fought over that challenge.

Well, it wasn't pretty. Ran green, and wouldn't swap his lead coming down the lane. Let's hope this was a good learning experience, and he fares better next time out! :(

Well, found a physical reason for the poor showing! He's having some chiro done, and it seems to be helping already. I know how much chiro has helped me, so I am sure that Si(gh) will notcie the difference too.

So excited! We are moving Sigh into Woodbine next week to finish off the season. His breeding suggests he should like the poly better that the dirt, so let's keep our fingers crossed.

Today's the day!!!

Postby Maureen » Thu Nov 18, 2010 6:47 am

Well, we are in the 4th today at Woodbine. Have had a couple of good works. Did his first on the dirt training track a week ago, and then on the poly on Sunday, where he knocked almost 3 seconds off his time for 3f, not even being asked.

Wish us luck!
