First Time Starter Is A Winner

Postby zinn21 » Sat Mar 19, 2011 6:47 am

My first, first time starter winner... Here's a link to his chart. Special kudos to Bill from Wa. who did a complete pedigree analysis of my mare and helped me narrow down stallion selections.

Congrats, Zinn!
Winning first out is so hard to do on so many levels. Being an owner/breeder is a rollercoaster ride, and having early success must be such a gratifying experience.
I hope you are basking in the glow, and heartily enjoying this ride.

Thanks everyone.. Just back from the barn and it looks like he came out of the race fine; tired but that's to be expected. Offers are already coming in on Show Off and farms calling to see if my mare is booked. Hoping that this is a good sign..

Well we're back in tomorrow. A 40 starter on the turf. One really tough horse in the race; an 11 length winner on the grass in his last start at the same distance. My colt has trained well; we shall see.

Best of luck!

Actually I should say your horse helps feed mine....who unlike your horse, they get into the starting gate stick their tongue out and proceed to give me the middle hoof. So Show Off has definitely earned a bag o' carrots from me!!
