We're back

Postby Denise » Thu Apr 28, 2011 6:59 am

Hi everyone,
Hope you're all doing well, and my thoughts and prayers are with anyone having to deal with the aftermath of the storms in Alabama.
Just wanted to let you know our racing season is beginning in earnest this weekend: Brother Sy will test a flat race at Middleburg, VA on Sunday, and baby sister Pebble to a Pearl will return in a turf sprint at Atlantic City on Monday.
Seems like this winter wouldn't end, but the turf season has finally gotten underway in the MidAtlantic! :D

Hang on Spex I will kick your butt instead, however did you look closely at the condition book? All races were STARTERS or Allowances,so were going to be tough. I would have loved to go but it's so far from here and a long way back if you leave emptyhanded! Denise, lots of luck and fun this year,I for one will be keeping an eye out for you.

Lmao... ok wilf regardless of some of the mules I have I do actually have one that may have played well at AC on the weeds. Sure she's had 3 crap dirt races but give her a break her trainer sucks!!
But I am playing with making the pilgrimage to PI at the end of May to sample the cheap claimers on the artificial. I have only been wanting to do it for 2 years!

Good start to the season

Brother Sy, with young Macaulay Kinnamon in the irons, won his mile and a quarter flat race at Middleburg Sunday (Mac's first steeplechase win), and Pebble to a Pearl got up for second in her 2011 debut, sprinting at Atlantic City yesterday!
Good to be back on the grass! :D

Well done Denise, we have lovely turf over here, unfortunately it's under 6 inches of water!

Thanks, everyone. We had a very, very difficult last 11 months, too emotionally painful to detail here, but suffice it to say, this gives us a great boost going into a new season of turf racing!
May the horse be with you...always! :D
