I'm trying to find out if the racehorse, Tough Broad, is still alive, and if so, where she is. She would be about 16 years old. Her owner when she last raced (1998) is listed as Robert E. Meyerhoff MD (I believe he was also her breeder). Trainer then is listed as Richard E. Small.
Any information on Tough Broad and/or contact information for Dr. Meyerhoff or Mr. Small would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

It looks like she had a foal in 2005 in Maryland.

It sure does help! Here I was thinking MD meant "M.D." - as in a medical doctor. NOW I know it means Maryland (I am such a doofus!!)
Mr. Meyerhoff's information is on NTRA and there are several newspaper articles regarding his philanthropy and art collection.
THANKS for sending me to Maryland - it was the key I needed!!

That mare has had the following foals:
2000 Polish Broad, B, F, By Polish Numbers (03/06)
2001 Tough Kid, B, G, By Carson City (03/21)
2002 Slipped
2003 No Record
2004 Eagle Beagle, B, G, By Lemon Drop Kid (02/29)
2005 Richard's Kid, C, By Lemon Drop Kid (03/07)
2006 Serra, Dkbbr, C, By Not For Love (04/22)
2007 Slipped
Not for Love stands at Northview Stallion Station in Chesapeake City, MD. I would call the farm manager, David Farrell (410-885-2829). The mare might still be boarded there, or they might be able to put you in contact with the owner.
