2006 unnamed Animo de Valeroso x Freedom Forever filly, can anyone tell if this foal has been reported dead.

Not reported dead, but the registration was never completed either...

There is a very high mortality among orphan foals, but I can tell you that I have a mare that has a unregistered foal from about 6 years ago. The foal was obviously not race-worthy, so they gave it away as a weanling, and never finished the reg process. So it's possible that they decided to not race the orphan and just gave it away.

Maybe you could contact the stallion's farm. There is a chance that they might be willing to pass along your information to the owner/breeder of that foal. Might be worth a shot. Best of luck. :)

Yes, they will very likely remember the mare and foal. Those little orphans steal your heart...
