After 10 nights of foal watch, with no impending signs of labor, Oro Caliente waited until early on the morning of 4/17 when she was turned out for a couple of hours for her stall to be cleaned... she went to the Very Back of my farm (46 acres) about 1/3 mile away, plopped down and had her filly. It was over a two hour struggle, after a weekend of very heavy rainfall, to get the mare and filly All The Way Back to the barn.. so the filly's barn name is Far Far Away. Here she is, just about 8 days old.
