It's a Filly!!! Devon Lane x African Nights (PIC POSTED)

We are very proud to announce that African Nights (Southern Halo) foaled a filly at 12:08 early Sunday morning, March 5 (just four days ahead of schedule). The filly is dark bay with three high white socks and a blaze. We expect she may gray out at some point. (Her sire, Devon Lane, is a gray.) She's fairly good size for a first foal and both mom and baby are doing great so far. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Windsor Farms is going to try to get some pictures to us sometime today and we'll be sure to post a pic.

She actually has a little leather newborn halter that I got from the Kentucky Horse online store (that you recommended).

Maybe we'll have to attach little pink ribbons to it. :D

Probably gray baby and a filly and she's flashy. I am so jealous and I still have to wait a month for my first one. :evil:

OK, name ideas anyone?

We're looking at Storm/Lane/Relaunch/Star or Stellar (for Stellar Jayne and Starrer -- Devon Lane's half-sibs) and/or South/North/Dream association on Africa's side.

My sister suggested Stargate or Stargate something. I liked Southern Pacific, but it's taken.
