New horses- New Vocations

Postby skeenan » Fri Jan 21, 2005 7:02 am

For what it's worth... lots of new available horses on the New Vocations website. Particularly, a new broodmare Dynamique (1990 model)

This mare is very elegant- beautiful face and neck! I bet she'd throw some beautiful Hunters...

Here's the link, for anyone interested:

New Vocation will only adopt out East of Kansas/Texas

Postby tbbreeder » Tue Feb 22, 2005 10:35 pm

Found this out the hard way. Broke my heart, too! If you're west of Texas or Kansas, don't even bother to look.

Just a sad FYI.

tbbreeder, did you inquire as to why?

Actually, it while it might seem to be a rather strange policy, it might actually be a good one. I am going to guess they are concerned with "trailer time", and that cut-off makes very, very good sense in that light.

I couldn't find Dynamique. Guess she's already adopted. Ouf of curiosity was she "Dynaformer"?

Skeenan: How recently did you see Dynamique? I was told not that she was adopted, then that it fell through, then that someone else immediately adopted her... this was some time ago. :?: :?: :?:

Yeah... a while back... sorry... I posted the info in January. I noticed that she's gone, too...

Check back often, they've had some nice horses come through!

As a side note FYI, I was looking on the CANTER Penn site and they had a couple nice possibilities: (I edited the descriptions shorter)

NEW!! PA-T337-02 Royal Gate, dark bay mare, 15.1+ hands, 8 years old. $2,500 Nego. George Carolan. 905-405-0093 - ask for Leslie and tell her you are calling about George's horse.

She's a Gate Dancer filly... but she's inbred 3x3 Northern Dancer. Good looking mare, though! Here's a photo link:

And this mare:
NEW!! PA-T327-02 Sunshine Adrian, dark bay mare, 15.3 hands, coming 4 years old. $2,500 Nego. Jose Martinez. 717-657-0888 Home, 717-439-9082 Cell, 717-469-9603 Barn.

Her sire is Stormy Atlantic, a Storm Cat son. His dam is Hail Atlantis, a blacktype winner of $176,325 and sired by (my fav!) Seattle Slew. Her dam is Not To Be Missed, by Our Native. Not sure about her dam, but her granddam is Ashley's Rainbow, by Key To The Mint and ON REFLECTION (USA) b. 1966 29-5-0-0 $26,260, blacktype finisher.

TO KAL

Postby tbbreeder » Tue Mar 08, 2005 2:49 pm

Hi KAL,
Sorry for the delay in replying:

They told me that they don't adopt out West because they do visits and it's too far to travel, so they just don't allow adoptions too far from them.

It kills me, because this one particular mare was a really nice match for my first year stallion and I'm tyring to get him some solid bloodlines. There's not much to get excited about out where I am (Arizona).

Sigh....
