Another solid field brought to you by this years erratic 3YO crop...they are the 3YO crop that keeps on giving even when it looks like they should give up:>) Lots of name horses back for another try. Of note is West Coast....if he pulls this off he will be another Baffert late developing 3YO that might make an impression in this 3YO crop? TJ

Bummer that Irap fractured his sesamoids... I didn't bet this race, but hoped he might do well.
Good for West Coast, look forward to seeing him in the BC!

West Coast has solidified his claim to top sophomore colt. A man among boys!
Baffert is loaded for the Classic, but I'm rooting for Gun Runner!

Hi Cree,
After Arrogate's lastest work (with Bejarano in the saddle instead of Garcia?)....he looks like he's back to himself though the work came at Santa Anita...a track Arrogate is fond of by comparison to Del Mar, where they hold this years BC races? Here's a link to the story and Arrogate's workout at Santa Anita yesterday. https://www.paulickreport.com/news/bree ... a-tuesday/
That 3YO-4YO campaign Arrogate had while going from a nobody to the top of the standings took a toll on him. He was physically drained and lost a lot of weight. Baffert reports he's gaining weight and training like the old Arrogate. Though Baffert cautioned it's early and he won't run Arrogate in the Classic unless he is 100% happy with everything he sees leading into the race.
That being said, Baffert does have a lot of possibles for the BC Classic (besides West Coast, Collected and Cupid) the latest is Mubtaahij, who is now being trained by Baffert. He recently worked in company with Hoppertunity and looked far superior to that old hard knocker....Mubtaahij has a steady flow of fast works and seems to be switching leads on the money, a problem that hurt him when he tried the classic's. He might be entered this weekend, if he is I'll post the race. TJ
