Interesting recent stakes winner coming from a long forgotten strain from Native Dancer. Her name is ORCHIDS SILVER:

Her third dam is a full sister to Restless Native.

Did you see how dark the dorsel stripe was on Winter Memories in the Queens today? Very neat looking.

A very good looking filly, On Fire Baby, gray, by Smoke Glacken, won the Pocahontas today at Churchill. One to watch for the major races for fillies next year.

By the way, Zazu is out of consideration for the BC races. I hope she returns stronger and better as a 4 yr old.

The performances by Afleet Again and Hansen were just magnificent. Hansen should be the Champion Two Year Old male, for sure.
Also, what a boost for Tapit.

Great for TAPIT, who also earned some additional peanuts with non-gray Tapizar's 5th place finish.

HANSEN's victory made me remember the very tight front-running victories of BLACK TIE AFFAIR (BC Classic) and WINNING COLORS (KY Derby). Very glad for AFLEET AGAIN's victory albeit, alas the purse was not on the same level as other Breeders Cup races!

I'd dare to say that hansen has classic speed, that he can carry a distance of ground. Reminds me of his ancestor Seattle Slew.
