Moonlark is being sold

http://www.colorworld-ranch.com/moonlark.html

The webpage says:

"Moonlark" is the perfect cross for the "Colorworld Ranch" frame overo mares. He has been DNA'd tested to NOT carry the SB1 gene, any of the dominant white genes, any of the splashed white genes or the lethal white overo gene.

Doesn't carry that? So what is he then?

I am sorry to say but the Colorworld Ranch horses carry the W20. I had mine tested and they all carry W20. What Moonlark is, is guaranteed one of the new W mutations. Might be one of the existing or the new discovered.

I had a Long phone call yesterday with one of the Researchers of that last study that included a lot of my horses and the gene is no longer called Dominant White as it can come from little to much white and so far only two different !!! W mutations form an all White. Which makes it clear that the all Whites are not homozygous.
