Irish 2000 Guineas for Canford Cliffs

Postby erins isle » Sat May 22, 2010 11:00 am

Today I saw a so easy winner of the Guineas, what a horse, what a performance. Hannon Stable is in great form.

Canford Cliffs is by Tagula, a son of Stop the Music. Very interesting pedigree!!

He did it again at the first day of Royal Ascot:

It is a joy to see this horse race and this jockey Richard Hughes, who was very young and promising when he rode for Brian Grassick in 1993 and we had the pleasure to be introduced. Now mr. Hughes rides for HM the Queen and is still as kind and modest as he was then.

Shocking ride by Peslier on Makfi.
They were both in the same position turning for home and look where Makfi ended up?

I would still give Makfi one more chance against Canford if they met again.

Just goes to show you what a shocking run & RIDE Makfi got behind Canford Cliffs.

Makfi beats Goldikova - I expect Canford to dodge Makfi for the rest of his racing career, we have a new superstar in Makfi - just as I thought after his 2000 Guineas win.

Interesting to see the 1st...2nd and 3rd Dam of Makfi produced Group 1 winners.
