He won the Japanese limited group race for the first time.


・Nakayama Grand Jump(jumping pattern race,tuff 4260m,for 3up,international race,at Nakayama,Jul.2 )
Japan Racing holds a few jumping race in a week.
Nakayama Grand Jump is one of principal jumping races in Japan.It is only international jumping race in Japan.By the way,orses from overseas didn't come to Japan this year.

Meiner Neos by Stay Gold(JP) won the race against Merci A Time by 1 1/4 length.
He won the jumping principal race for the first time.

Curren Chan by Kurofune(US) won the race against T M Otaka by a neck.
Curren Chan won 2 consecutive group races.
Her father,Kurofune by French Deputy(US),won Japan Cup Dirt against Lido Palace back in 2001.He has foaled many group race winners in Japan.
Her half big brother,Spring Song by Sakura Bakushin O(JP) won Keihan Hai(G3,1200m) last year.But he was died by gripes in May.

Ibis Summer Dash is only straight course group race,which is held in Japan.
A Shin Virgo by Falbrav(IR) won the race against Abe Dutch Man by 1 3/4 length.
She is a 4yo filly and won the group race for the first time.

・Mercury Cup(Japanese limited group 3race,dirt 2000m,for 3up,at Morioka,Jul.18 )
Gold Blitz by Special Week(JP) won the race against Meisho Tametomo by 3 length.
He had already won the group race,Antares Stakes.
His mother is Lady Blond by Seeking the Gold(US),half sister of Deep Impact,who won Japanese triple crown races back in 2005.

In Japan,it is said that white horse involved elder gray horse is a lucky horse.A few shrine have white horses who are elder gray.

She had won the group race twice in July.And she broke the track record time in the race.

・Hakodate Nisai Stakes(gropu3,turf 1200m,for 2yo,at Hakodate,Aug.7 )
Group race for 2yo was held for the first time in Japan.
Fine Choice by Admire Moon(JP) won the race against I'm yours by 1 1/2 length.
She is one of the first crops of Admire Moon.
Admire Moon by End Sweep(US) won Dubai Duty Free,Takarazuka Kinen,Japan Cup and etc.He was the horse of the year in Japan in 2007.


・Sekiya Kinen(group3,turf 1600m,for 3up,at Niigata,Aug.7)
Rainbow Pegasus by Agnes Tachyon(JP) won the race against Air Lafon by 3/4 length.
He is 6yo and hadn't won the group race about 3 years because of massive bone fracture.But he has recovered.

・Breeder's Gold Cup(Japanese limited group2,dirt 2000m,for 3up,at Monbetsu,Aug.11 )
Civil War by War Emblem(US) won the race against Meisho Tametomo by 6 length.
He won the Japanese limited group race for the first time.
War Emblem has rare crops,but his crops run well in Japan.


By the way,a horse trained in overseas ran in the race,held by local government racing,for the first time of the history.
Red Alert Day by Dictat(GB) ran in Santa Anita Trophy(pattern race) on Aug.3 at Tokyo City Track.By the way,both Tokyo City Track and Santa Anita Park make friendship each other.
Regrettably,Red Alert Day ran last in the race.But Tokyo Daishoten and Teio Sho became international group1 races.
Many Japanese fans are waiting for the horses who come from overseas to Tokyo City Track.
