Such a great race for the son of Sea the Stars and Belgian top jockey Christophe Soumillon! When I interviewed Eddy Havegheer several years ago, he told me this boy was a great talent and he was right.

the 148. German Derby Result 2017:
1) Windstoss (Shirocco - Wellenspiel by Sternkonig) Fam. 4-o, traces back to Kincsem, the breeder is the "Röttgen Stud" near Colgone. Röttgen's last Derby winner was 'Uomo' in 1959.
2) Enjoy Vijay (Nathaniel - Enjoy the Life by Medicesn) Fam 16-c Schwarzgold
3) Rosenpurpur (Pour Moi - Rosenreihe by Catcher in the Rye) Fam. 1-e Ierne
