I and some other concerned partners are looking for a PA horse Celestial Lady (2008). At one point I had seen something saying she had won 63k. She has been ridden by a new owner attempting dressage and he injured her on top of other injuries. She has now dissapeared from the barn where she was kept and I would like to locate her and give her a soft landing, but it is highly likely he dumped her to New Holland auctions and she has dissapeared.

I am try to find out if I can locate her lip tattoo/reg number anywhere online, to help identify her, should she be found.

IF anyone has a suggestion, it would be welcome.

I would recommend posting on the Chronicle of the Horse forums -- they have a "Missing Horses" section that gets a lot of views.

http://www.chronofhorse.com/forum/forum.php

You have to join but it is free, no hassle.

Good luck.

A couple of other ideas --

Local horse magazines you could put a classified ad in:

horsetalkmagazine.com (VA, MD)

http://equiery.com/ (MD, surrounding areas)

midatlantictb.com (entire region)

Plus OTTB groups on Facebook (I am not on Facebook so don't know specific ones)

Contact Mid Atlantic Horse Rescue and let them know you are looking for her, they often have ppl at the auctions. Also on FB, Mindy Lovell has a huge network and often knows where horses are that no one else knows about. Ask her to keep an eye out for you. Both her and MAHR are excellent at networking and negotiating, not to mention protecting privacy.
