Notes on horses with apostrophes

Why can't horses with apostrophes show the notes?

The notes are accessible when the individual pedigree is pulled up but, unlike names that don't have apostrophes, they're unavailable when the entry is part of a progeny report or female family report. Unfortunately, I don't even have a guess why this is happening. Will report it.
