Hot Reality - Crafty Prospector - Temperature Hot (Believe It)

Does she have any commercial appeal?

She's a full sister to two stakes horses and half to a third. Her two full sisters have produced stakes horses and she has produced two winners herself. Crafty Prospector is a good broodmare sire. Even with a bad race record, I'd say her offspring could have some commercial appeal if she is bred to a commercial sire.

I actually think she has a nice pedigree. She comes from the same family as Square Eddie, so that's a nice thing. Our farm has had a number of mares inbred to In Reality, and we've done well with them. I think the new stud, Indygo Shiner would be a good choice, at least on paper for her. He brings in a third line of In Reality, which is always a great thing, plus two lines of Buckpasse. This would give the resulting foal a 4X4X4 to In Reality and a 5X5X5 to Buckpasser.

I respectfully disagree. I think this mare - while useful - is not commercial. Her sisters, both 1/2 and full, have not been commercial producers - even those who are stakes producers. I think the real proof comes with her 3/4 sister Strike it Hot, by Smart Strike. Her Quiet American colt only brought $8,000 in 2007.

Also, most of her siblings are done producing, so what you see is what you get - there is no room for improvement on that page, so the only thing you have is the mare herself to forge ahead.
