Any thoughts on the idea that stallions lose their ability to sire good horses as they age? I have occasionally read about this and heard people dismiss potential sires on account of age.
Along a similar vein, do you think there is a dilutional effect on quality if a horse is bred to a large number of mares each season, or breeds in both hemispheres?

From what I understand, aging has no effect on sperm quality.
