Sligo Bay?

Hey all...

I recently bought a 1/2 sister to Lexie Lou, a contender for Canadian 2 year old champion filly this past year. Relocate, by Read the Footnotes, herself is unraced, but her first foal, a 2 year old by Sky Conqueror, scored an impressive maiden win at Woodbine in December.

My plan was to breed her to Lexie Lou's sire, Sligo Bay, for a 3/4 sibling. I could also go back to Sky Conqueror.

No season has been purchased yet and I'm curious to hear opinions.

Why do something that makes pefect sense and break board traditions, they''ll ban you for doing the right thing by your mare....

I think it's a great idea. I think Sligo Bay is underrated.

On a side note, I saw Canadian SW James Street (also by El Prado) is standing in California for $10,000 !!! Wow. I'd rather go to Sligo Bay.

I have never desired you more than I do at this moment.

So I actually ended up (through a series of events) breeding this mare to Balthazaar's Gift. Lexie Lou just won the Woodbine Oaks and is being pointed to the Queen's Plate in July. Thoughts?
