Pop Artist to stand for $1,000

Postby Cree » Sun Apr 20, 2014 7:26 am

Hard-knocking Pop Artist is retired and will be standing stud in BC. He was consistently running in claiming $15,000 to $25,000 races up at Hastings Park. Not a lot of mares in BC to start with, and the leading stallions (Finality, Stephanotis, Storm Victory, Mass Market, and Second in Command) get most of the mares.

He is carrying two doses from Alibhai, an initially low profile perceived sire, but who as a sire was carrying the great Hyperion to back him up. Ultimately Alibhai he ended up siring Kentucky Derby winner Determine because the blood was there.

Pop Artist is out of a quite persistent mare and his sire has real talent so anything could happen.
At least good bloodlines are there same as it happened with Alibhai. I wish him good luck.

AND, for those interested in colour...he's a chestnut with a LOT of white (3 socks and a full blaze). A picture at this link (scroll down a little): http://www.cthsbc.org/
