Black Onyx's stud fee
Black Onyx recently purchased at Keeneland for $7,500 will stand his first season at stud for $6,000. He is standing at Prestige Stallions, formerly known as Hall Marc Stallions, Woodford Something Or Other, and Stonewall Farm. If they find two suckers it will be all gravy from there.

Wow. Talk about reaching for the stars. He looked like a nice racehorse winning the GRADE 3 Spiral, and that is all he did. Rock Hard Ten was exported to South Korea for crying out loud!
That price is outrageous.

Somebody sure didn't study the market in Florida much. There are a pretty fair number of horses in Florida with better race records and decent pedigrees as well as some proven sires worth looking at that you can get to for $5,000 or less.

Based on previous hyperbolic website copy, I wouldn't be at all surprised to find the word "select" inserted between the number 15 and the word mares.
