CTBAboardwatch

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

March 14, 2011 Now in our sixth year of watching out for you

Perhaps the most prolific consignor of two-year-olds in the country is Dr. Barry Eisaman. Selling under the EISAMAN EQUINE banner his collection of pinhooked yearlings usually exceeds several dozen in the Florida sales.

EISAMAN consignees often record the fastest preview times This year's OBS March sale is no exception; it's FLATTER colt and DIXIE UNION filly each recorded the preview's best times of :20 3/5.

We decided to examine the 'Past Performances' of Eisaman's previous OBS March Sale two-year-olds whose workouts also topped the sale. (US earnings only).

Yes, projected at his current pace .... this I expect, Brigand must race 16 years and start 49 times to earn his purchase price.

I guess you are saying "Brigand " shows no potential of earning his sales price........... I'll tell you what at least he has placed twice in Graded stakes. That's a lot more that many others did for what it's worth..

What current pace?

You say he's been racing for 2 years. In reality, his race career has been 9 months long (so far) and he's raced 6 times. His first race took place in July of his 2yo year; he's now early in his 3yo year. In his last outing (4/21) he was 2nd in the 200K, G2 Jerome H. Being by Flatter, he'll probably improve with age.

Most people complain when 2yos are pushed hard. You seem to be complaining about the opposite. I'm also not sure why you think his 3yo campaign is already over?

He just won the "turnofthecentury" stakes at Aqueduct and earned 45K.
