I always love looking at the Aga Khan's website. I've got a broodmare and two fillies from family 8i, the Manush family. He is selling one from that family, I see.

Grays are never as striking as the chestnut, black, or dark brown, but this gal is certainly a looker. Very well balanced.

At first glance, I thought this one might be out of the Bold Ruler line with low withers and level back. Alas, he is no where to be found.
I like her none the less.

Tilemsiya: Her sire's damsire is from the Bold Ruler line.

Georgerz: I've gotten in the habit of only looking at the tail male and female lines of a pedigree. You are exactly right, she has BR in her line. She is not an extraordinary looking filly, but she is well balanced and more attractive than the majority of mares and fillies on this particular page.

And that's why I made the remark, maybe her balanced conformation comes from Bold ruler, even if he is that far in her pedigree.

Georgerz: Your comment brings up a very interesting conversation. We are so use to looking at the tail male and tail female lines that we often overlook the significance of the dam sire tail line and mare line of the sire. Seattle Slew was definitely considered prepotent. I wonder what Bachelor Duke looked like? Mr. Prospector was also an ordinary looking horse. I don't think I've ever seen a picture of Miswaki.

It's a picture of Miswaki. If you do a google image search for "miswaki thoroughbred" and scroll past lots of pictures of Galileo, you'll find it.

It's not large but big enough. To my eye I can really see the Princequillo in him. He doesn't look like Mr Prospector at ALL.
