Declassify, a G1 winner, was a NS for $10,000. He was purchased for $450,000 as a 2-year-old, owned by Kaleem Shah and trained by Baffert. I feel sorry for the horse. He doesn't seem to be the soundest of horses, and his pedigree isn't overly attractive.
What do you do with a horse like him?
Graded SW, Divine Oath, who has been off the board in 5 starts this year, got picked up by West Point Tbs for $270,000.
Gelding War Story, was a NS at $545,000. He was 16th in this year's Derby. I can't really understand expecting that much on a horse that is a) gelded, and b) most likely peaked in the spring...

Re: Fasig Tipton July Racing Age sale
I wonder what will become of Declassify? No takers at $10K, perhaps he deserves a gentle retirement?
As is often the case, the prices seem somewhat irrational.

I wondered the same thing about him. He clearly had issues that kept him from running on a regular basis. G1 winner to no sale at $10,000. Pretty sad state for him.
